Claire Ward is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Sports Dietitian with over 20 years of experience. She is the Director of Ward Nutrition and leads a small team of Dietitians. Claire was voted in top 5 of Rural Practitioners of the year in 2019.
Claire is university trained with a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, enabling her to be an APD and provide you with the most up to date and be a credible source of nutrition information. Claire will translate the scientific health and nutrition information into practical advice to ensure that you meet your nutrition goals.
Claire specializes in helping clients improve on their body composition. Whether that is from having Bariatric surgery, for sports performance, for fertility and womens health issues or those having problems with disordered eating habits. Claire can help you achieve your goals mentally and physically by providing clinical, practical, nutrition counselling and accurate nutrition recommendations to ensure your dietary needs are met.
Claire Ward has high level of skills in Eating Disorders. She is recognized as an approved practitioner from ACFED (Australian Centre Feeding and Eating Disorders) , the Butterfly Foundation and is has received ANZFAED Credentials in Eating Disorders. Claire has completed her Sports Dietitian training at the AIS and is a Accredited Sports Dietitian from the Sports Dietitian Association of Australia. Claire was trained and continues to work closely with the RPA Allergy Unit specialist dietitians working with clients with food intolerances and food allergies.
Claire is also Licensee and Nutrition Advisor to Early Life Nutrition who specialises in women’s and children’s health issues including; She is an approved fertility and pre natal dietitian and therefore can help you if you are trying to conceive and you need to optimize your diet to improve fertility, whether you need to improve your body composition, or whether your have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or Endometriosis.
Claire, also works closed with Bariatric Surgeons in the Central West Surgery. She can help you pre and post weight loss surgery and has over 10 years of experience working in this area of nutrition. Claire is a active member of ANZMOSS and continues to provide ongoing nutritional advice supported by clinical evidence for long term weight loss success.
Claire can also provide consultancy services to corporate organisations, food manufacturers, schools and health care facilities as required. Claire has 12 years experience working with Food Service departments in Hospitals/ Nursing homes within the Central West and can assess and provide menu reviews to organisations as required.
Nadia Fathinia is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has completed her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Sydney University. Nadia is based in our Orange clinic for individual consultations for general weight loss and bariatric surgery, and for those requiring dietary recommendations for chronic conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease. Nadia has also completed further study with the Monash University Low FODMAP course on IBS and gut health and is passionate about helping people manage their symptoms. Being plant-based herself, Nadia can also assist those looking to reduce their meat or dairy consumption.
Nadia provides nutrition and dietetic support to Anson Street Special School by supporting children with disabilities to improve their nutritional status and quality of life. Nadia runs weekly cooking programs and helps build staff knowledge and skills to better support the children nutritionally.
Nadia also sees elderly clients at aged homes in Cowra, Yeoval and Parkes. Nadia enjoys helping those with chronic diseases and who are at risk of malnutrition by improving quality of life via nutrition therapy.
Georgia Langfield is an Accredited Practising Dietitian specializing in chronic diseases and nutrition related to individuals with disabilities.
Georgia’s expertise includes personalized nutritional strategies that address the unique needs of individuals dealing with chronic conditions like diabetes & heart disease, as well as empowering those with disabilities to achieve better health outcomes through balanced nutrition.
In addition to Georgia’s professional qualification, completed at University of Newcastle in Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours), she is passionate about enhancing our clients’ quality of life through tailored dietary approaches. This will be a valuable resource for both our team and our clients, providing insights that align with our mission of promoting health and well-being.
Georgia is available every Thursday in Bathurst for face to face or home visits appointments. On the other days Georgia will be assisting the rest of our team in our Orange clinic and also some local nursing homes.
Ella Mackie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has a passion for nutrition and health. Ella has a strong interest in supporting clients with chronic disease management, healthy eating and weight management, and mental health, alongside community and group education.
Ella graduated from the University of Newcastle with First Class Honours, with her research focusing on addictive eating and disordered eating behaviours. She hopes to further her education and training in this space to better support individuals with eating disorders.
Telehealth, and face to face appointments with Ella will be available in our Orange clinic. She will also be working with residents in aged care facilities across Orange, Bathurst and the broader Central West.
Ward Nutrition Dietitians also consult with clients requiring nutrition advice for diabetes, oncology, renal failure, high cholesterol, other cardiovascular issues and general weight loss.
